Seven people arrested across Sydney over role in cocaine syndicate

Police have arrested five men, a woman and a teenage boy this morning over their alleged involvement in supplying cocaine and other drugs across Sydney.

In April this year, detectives from South Sydney Police Area Command established Strike Force Spex to investigate the supply of cocaine and prescription drugs by a syndicate operating across Sydney.

Following extensive investigations, police executed simultaneous search warrants at homes in Chester Hill, Bankstown, Georges Hall, Revesby and Punchbowl about 6.00am today (Thursday 26 August 2021).

Police arrested a 32-year-old man at Chester Hill, two men and a boy – aged 30, 18 and 17 – at Bankstown, a 28-year-old man at Georges Hall, and a woman and man – both aged 26 – in Punchbowl.

During the searches of the homes, detectives seized cash, electronics and drugs, including cocaine, steroids, prohibited prescription drugs, and GBL.

The items will undergo forensic analysis.

The seven arrested were taken to Bankstown Police Station, and inquiries continue.

Four people have previously been charged as part of investigations under Strike Force Spex.
