Police have charged an 18-year-old man following an alleged sexual assault in Spring Hill yesterday., Queensland Police say
It will be alleged around 3:30pm a man approached a 27-year-old woman on Wickham Terrace and asked for money as well as making sexual comments.
The woman refused the man’s requests and walked to a nearby hotel where, police will allege, the man assaulted the woman and attempted to sexually assault her.
The woman fought the man off whilst a member of the public called police.
Officers arrested the man in Wickham Park a short time later.
The woman was treated for non-serious head injuries.
An 18-year-old Crestmead man has been charged with one count each of rape, assault with intent to commit rape and deprivation of liberty.
He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
