SF Express Announces Launch of New Service Station in Australia

China’s leading logistics service provider, SF Express, has officially announced the opening of its first Australia service station in Melbourne. SF Express had been offering delivery services to the country since 2014, but with the opening of this new service station, the company will be able to expand its service offerings and provide export delivery services that cover many destinations throughout the Asia-Pacific region. The new service station will consist of a comprehensive team of local employees in sales, marketing, operations, customer service, etc. SF Express’s new foray into Australia aims to help more Australian customers expand their businesses to the rest of the Asia-Pacific region, particularly for cross-border e-commerce and cold chain logistics customers.

Kenneth Xu, head of Sales and Marketing from SF Express Australia mentioned that, “We are excited to set up operations in Australia as the country has a long history of close trade ties with China, given its large percentage of ethnic Chinese and its strategic location within the Asia-Pacific region. Australia is well known for its wine, beef, and dairy exports, and its premium brands appeal to a growing demographic of middle class consumers in China. We hope that we can benefit from growing trade ties and cross-border e-commerce between Australia and China.”

China is one of the most important target markets for cross-border e-commerce merchants around the world, having accounted for over 40 percent of total global e-commerce spending in 2016. Its appetite for high-quality foreign products continues to grow along with its rapidly growing middle class segment. In recent years, many Chinese consumers have begun to shift their attention towards more premium overseas products, which are perceived to be of higher quality. Consumer retail goods and imported food & health supplements from Australia have grown in popularity as a result.

Apart from express delivery services for local individual and business customers, SF Express also provides all-in-one customized solutions for e-commerce merchants in Australia, including first and last mile delivery, marketing promotion services, customer support services, warehouse & fulfillment services, customs clearance services, etc. Additionally, with an extensive cold chain logistics network in China, the company is able to deliver fresh & frozen food exports from Australian suppliers to China without compromising on quality.
