Shepparton unlicenced driver

Shepparton police intercepted a vehicle in Shepparton this morning after the saw the black Ford Focus travelling in the opposite direction on Patterson Road about 12.15am.

Police conducted a U-turn in an attempt to intercept the vehicle, but the driver, a 34-year-old Shepparton man, allegedly drove away at a fast rate of speed.

A short time later, police saw the vehicle turn onto Sanctuary Drive where the driver lost control and hit a curb, resulting in his tyre blowing out.

The driver was finally intercepted on Melbourne Road.

He is expected to be charged on summons with conduct endangering person, unlicensed driving, drive unregistered vehicle and use fraudulent plates.
