The Shields Street Heart is set to become a performance venue for performing arts students looking for experience in front of an audience.
Council has supported a request by Central Queensland University to make the location available for use by performing arts students as part of their studies.
Under the arrangement, students will deliver evening performances on specified dates. Council will provide in-kind support through provision of staging and other equipment.
