Local Shire residents are embracing one way car sharing, a membership based service that replaces the need for car ownership and enables access to multiple types of cars, contributing to fewer cars on the road and easing congestion, while saving customers potentially thousands per year.
60% of Sutherland Shire households own two or more vehicles, and with the huge boom of new townhouses, duplexes and apartments being built, local congestion and parking will only get worse.
Popcar Managing Director, Anthony Welsh claims "studies from Australia and around the world claim that every car share vehicle placed on local streets, privately owned cars are reduced by 10,"

In addition Popcar points out that many also save on parking and garaging costs, an architect claimed that buying an apartment without car parking can reduce the purchase price by $30,000.
The Sutherland Shire is in the middle of a building boom, with new apartments, townhouses and duplexes flooding the market.
