Shooting investigation continues in Mascot

As investigations into a shooting at Mascot last month continue, police are renewing their appeal for information, NSW Police say.

About 6pm on Wednesday 31 January 2018, police responded to a report of a shooting at Jackson Drive, near Kent Street.

Witnesses told police they believe they saw shots fired from a white Ford Ranger Utility towards a Mazda sedan, with CCTV later seized by police confirming the reports.

Both cars sped away from the scene, travelling erratically along Jackson Drive in a westerly direction.

Police located a number of projectile casings at the scene and the Mazda sedan was later seized for forensic examination.

It was not known if anyone was injured as a result of the shooting and Strike Force Ankali was established by Botany Bay Police Area Command.

Anyone who has information about the incident and has not yet spoken to police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
