Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after a shot was fired into a home at Guildford overnight, NSW Police say.
About 11pm on Wednesday 18 October 2017 a 19-year-old woman was awoken by a loud noise on the roof of her Cross Street home unit.
The woman discovered a projectile in the unit but she was not injured during the incident.
When her partner returned home police were contacted.
Officers from Rosehill Local Area Command attended and located the projectile on the floor of the hallway.
A hole was also located in the roof and ceiling of the top floor apartment.
Police conducted a canvas of neighbouring units and searched for CCTV images without success.
Investigators have appealed for anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
