Shots fired in Dandenong

Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a number of shots were fired into a flat in Dandenong this morning, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told four shots were fired into the Potter Street residence about 7am.

Police were notified of the incident about an hour later when a neighbour observed shell casings in the driveway.

Investigators believe two rounds, possibly from a handgun, were fired into the garage and two into a window.

None of the seven occupants, six males and a female, were injured as a result of the shooting.

The occupants only became aware of the incident when police arrived.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Potter Street about 7am and saw anything suspicious to contact Crime Stoppers.
