Shots fired into home in Greystanes

An investigation is underway following a public place shooting in Sydney's west yesterday.

Police attended a home on Hillary Street, Greystanes, just after 4pm (Sunday 3 February 2019), following reports shots had been fired.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command established a crime scene after damage and a number of projectiles were located at the home, which will be forensically examined.

No one was home at the time and no injuries have been reported to police.

Police have been told a black motorcycle was last seen driving southbound, heading towards Merrylands CBD following the incident.

While inquiries continue, initial investigations suggest the shooting may be targeted.
