Shots fired into house in Tenambit

Police are appealing for public assistance after a number of shots were fired into a house in the Hunter region.

About 1.30am on Monday 15 January 2018, a number of shots were fired into a home on Clarence Street at Tenambit, NSW Police say.

Police were alerted to the incident and commenced investigations.

Just after 3pm yesterday (Tuesday 16 January 2018), police attached to the Port Stephens-Hunter Police Department executed a search warrant at the premises as part of ongoing inquiries.

A number of items were located and seized during the search.

Police also spoke to the 26-year-old resident of the home; however, he refused to assist police with investigations.


No-one was injured during the incident and it is believed the shooting is targeted.

Investigations are underway and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
