Shots fired into house in Wellington

Police are investigating after shots were fired into a house at Wellington, NSW Police say.

About 12.30am today tomorrow, police were called to a home on Maughan Street, Wellington, following reports of malicious damage to a vehicle.

About 2am, police were called to the home again after reports a bullet hole was found on the exterior of the home.

Examinations have revealed a number of bullets entered the home; however, no one was injured. It is not known when the shots were fired into the home.

Police from Orana Local Area Command are investigating the incident and specialist forensic officers will examine the scene today.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
