Shots fired, South East Queensland

Detectives are investigating after shots were fired into several vehicles across South East Queensland yesterday, Queensland Police say.

In the first incident, shots were fired into a car parked in the driveway of home Felling Drive at Maudsland around 1.45am. No one was injured as a result of the incident, as the car was not occupied.

Later, at around 3.30am, a man was driving northbound on the Pacific Motorway at Rochedale when he heard something hit the side of his ute. He saw the driver of a vehicle pointing what he described as a firearm towards him through an open window.

He then heard another object hit his vehicle before the offending car took the Logan Road exit.

The 30-year-old male driver was not injured during the incident, however what appears to be bullet holes were later discovered in the rear passenger mudflap and the passenger side door.

Finally, around 8.10pm, a 56-year-old man was driving southbound on the Pacific Motorway at Coomera when his vehicle received damage, possibly from some form of projectile. No firearm was sighted however a vehicle that may have been involved was last seen taking the Foxwell Road exit.

The driver was not injured during the incident.

Logan and Coomera detectives are working to establish whether the incidents are linked.
