The Crisafulli Government is delivering new opportunities for Queensland and reinforcing its commitment to create jobs, grow the economy and strengthen global partnerships through a trade mission to Singapore and India.
Minister for the Environment and Tourism and Minister for Science and Innovation Andrew Powell will lead the trade mission from 8 to 14 March.
The trade mission will explore investment and partnership opportunities under long-term tourism plan Destination 2045, alongside site visits to cutting-edge facilities and leading science and innovation hubs.
In Singapore, delegates will meet leading aviation, tourism and investment partners and explore opportunities in quantum technology and sustainability.
In India, the mission will strengthen aviation, tourism and research ties, promote Queensland producers at The International Food and Hospitality Fair (AAHAR), and advance collaboration with major scientific and medical institutions.
Minister Powell said the trade mission was building on the priorities in the Queensland-India Trade and Investment Strategy 2025-2028 launched last year.
"Under the Crisafulli Government Queensland is open for businesses and this trade mission is a fantastic opportunity to spruik Queensland as one of the best places to do business, to invest and to holiday," Minister Powell said.
"We want to show tourists all the amazing tourism offerings we have across our great state, and direct flights from India to Queensland is firmly on the agenda.
"We want to bolster our trade relationship with India and through that deliver Queenslanders the opportunities and lifestyle they deserve after a decade of decline under Labor."
