Dept of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications

From Western Sydney to Singapore, and onwards to the rest of the world; daily flights from Singapore Airlines will commence 23 November 2026.

Travellers can jump online today and be amongst the first to purchase tickets to Sydney's new 24-hour global gateway, with Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport's (WSI) inaugural tickets now on sale from Singapore Airlines.

Singapore will operate A350-900 aircraft on the new route, which seat 303 passengers across business and economy class.

Flights will depart Western Sydney just before midnight, with passengers arriving at Changi, one of the largest transportation hubs in Asia, around 5am. Return services will depart Singapore at 11:30am local time, arriving in Western Sydney at 10:20pm.

The daily flights were secured by the Albanese Government in August 2024, when Singapore Airlines became the first international airline to agree to service the new airport.

The November commencement places Singapore Airlines among the first carriers to land at Western Sydney Airport, which will reach operational readiness for cargo in July, and passengers in October 2026.

Western Sydney's new airport is the centrepiece of the Albanese Labor Government $18 billion investment in Western Sydney, alongside the new M12, the future Sydney Metro Airport connection and significant road upgrades to nearby Elizabeth Drive, Fifteenth Avenue and Mamre Road.

Quotes attributable to Federal Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government Minister Catherine King:

"Welcome to Western Sydney International Airport, Singapore Airlines!

"Once daily flights will connect Western Sydney globally, starting at the new Western Sydney International Airport and connecting to every corner of the world through Changi.

"Singapore Airlines was the first international airline to commit to fly into Western Sydney International, and I'm really pleased tickets are on sale so people can start planning their next flight."
