Singleton Woman Scores $1M Lotto Win While Baking

The Lott

A Singleton woman's quiet morning of baking turned into a recipe for success after a life-changing call revealed her decade-old numbers had won her a $1 million Weekday Windfall prize.

The Hunter River resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4600, on Wednesday 17 September 2025. She can look forward to an eye-watering $1 million.

When we called the winner this morning, she hadn't checked her ticket yet and was left completely stunned by the million-dollar news.

"Thank you! Oh my, I don't know what to say," she said.

"This feels a bit surreal. It's wonderful.

"I was just doing some baking today, and I had to run to the phone, but I just missed your first call. I'm glad you called a second time!"

The sweet surprise couldn't have come at a better time for the winning woman, who shared she was in between jobs.

"I'm actually in between jobs at the moment, so you have no idea how much this means," she revealed.

"I know I have a million things I want to do, but my mind has gone blank right now.

"I can't believe this. I've played Lotteries since they started, and I always play the same numbers. The most I've won is around $105!

"I never thought I would get this call. Thank you so much."

Her winning marked 14-game entry was purchased at Singleton Mall Newsagency, Shop 23B Mall Shopping Centre, 1 Gowrie Street, Singleton.
