Organised Crime Squad detectives have charged six men and seized a firearm and ammunition following an investigation into a shipment of 46kg of cocaine bound for an Organised Criminal Network.
Strike Force Andrews was established by State Crime Command's Organised Crime Squad, with the NSW Crime Commission, to investigate the alleged drug supply and money laundering activity being carried out across Sydney and Brisbane by a transnational Organised Crime Network (OCN).
On Wednesday 10 December 2025, strike force detectives, assisted by the Australian Border Force, intercepted a shipping container and seized 46 kilograms of cocaine concealed within duffle bags.
Following extensive inquiries into the shipment and its destination, about 7am yesterday (Wednesday 17 December 2025), strike force detectives – with assistance from Raptor Squad – arrested four men during a vehicle stop in Sydney Olympic Park, who police will allege were on their way to take possession of the shipment.
During a search of the men and their vehicle, police seized 5kg of MDMA and $650,000 in cash.
The men – aged 38, 33, 29 and 22 – were taken to Auburn Police Station, where the oldest man was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug >= large commercial quantity, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
The youngest man was charged with four counts of supply prohibited drug >= commercial quantity, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
The remaining two men were charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug >= large commercial quantity and participate in a criminal group.
About 9.35am, police arrested a 33-year-old man in Campsie. He was taken to Campsie Police Station, where he was charged with four counts of supply prohibited drug >= large commercial quantity, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
All five were refused bail to appear in Burwood Local Court today (Thursday 18 December 2025).
Just after 10am yesterday, police arrested a sixth man in Revesby.
The 21-year-old was taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was charged with use, supply, acquire, possess stolen firearm or part, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, seven drug supply offences, two counts of recklessly deal with proceeds of crime, possess prohibited drug, participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, and fail to comply digital evidence access order direction.
He was refused bail to appear in Bankstown Local Court today.
With assistance from the Public Order & Riot Squad and South West Metropolitan Region, subsequent search warrants were executed in Revesby, Eastgardens, Chester Hill, Bondi Junction, and Punchbowl.
Police located and seized a firearm, ammunition, a pistol silencer, a ballistic vest, 1.2kg of cocaine, gold bullion, more than $115,000 in cash, a money counter, Rolex watch, knuckle dusters, cryptocurrency, a tracking device and electronics relevant to their investigation.
Investigations under Strike Force Andrews continue.
