Six Queensland Fire and Emergency Services employees stood down

Six Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) employees have today been stood down from their duties with pay, pending further investigation.

The employees, including operational and non-operational, have been stood down due to allegedly failing to adhere to proper government procurement practices.

QFES has referred these matters to the Crime and Corruption Commission Queensland.

This does not mean that the allegations against the employees have been substantiated.

QFES is unable to provide further comment regarding this matter while appropriate investigations take place.
