Sixth Individual Arrested in Strike Force Poton Murder Case

A sixth person has been charged following an investigation into the death of a man in Roselands earlier this year.

In February this year, detectives attached to Campsie Police Area command – assisted by the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad – established Strike Force Poton to investigate the stabbing death of a 24-year-old man in Roselands.

Following extensive inquiries, Strike Force officers arrested a 22-year-old man at Silverwater about 9am yesterday (Tuesday 12 December 2023).

That man has now been charged with murder (accessory after the fact to an offence), armed with intent to commit indictable offence, and affray.

He remains in custody before his appearance in Bankstown Local Court today (Wednesday 13 December 2023).

The man is the sixth person to be charged in relation to this incident: four men and two teenagers remain before the courts.
