South Coast detectives have charged a sixth person over the alleged murder of a man on the state's South Coast earlier this year.
Emergency services were called to East Street, Bega, about 2am on Monday 6 October 2025, following reports of a concern for welfare.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended and found a man in a park suffering stab wounds. NSW Ambulance responded, however, the 43-year-old died at the scene.
A second man, aged 45, also suffered stab wounds and was taken to South East Regional Hospital in a stable condition. He has since been released from hospital.
Police established a crime scene and seized two vehicles for forensic examination.
Following the incident, South Coast detectives commenced an investigation under Strike Force Nakstone, assisted by the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad.
As part of investigations, strike force detectives have arrested and charged five people – four men, aged 32, 34, 29 and 48, and a 19-year-old woman – with all five remaining before the courts.
Following further investigations, strike force detectives arrested a 44-year-old man at Nowra Police Station, about 2pm today (Wednesday 10 December 2025).
He was charged with murder and cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder.
The man was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Local Court 3 tomorrow (Thursday 11 December 2025).
