On Thursday, 22 September 2016, police including Forensic Services, CIB and the Coroners Office attended bushland on the East Tamar Highway near Dilston after the discovery of human skeletal remains, Tasmania Police say.
The police investigation to date has not been able to identify the deceased.
Locate with the remains was a watch which had the inscription,
"To Dad love Maureen and Tony 1965"
Anyone who has information that would assist police to identify the deceased person is asked to contact the Northern Criminal Investigation Branch on 6777 3915.
