Skimming device found at Blackwood, SA

Sturt Police are urging the public to be vigilant when using ATMs after a credit card skimming device was found at Blackwood yesterday afternoon, according to SA Police.

Sturt Detectives investigating the incident believe the skimming device was only attached to the ATM for about an hour, before being detected around 3pm and then removed.

Police wish to remind everyone to be vigilant when using ATM’s, by covering the keypad when entering a PIN and if you see a loose fitting card slot or plastic bar, inform the bank immediately.
