The Victorian Small Business Commission is holding free breakfast events with NBN Co in Swan Hill and Mildura to provide small businesses with expert advice on how to get nbn ready.
Commissioner Judy O'Connell will moderate interactive panel discussions and Q&As on what small businesses need to know about disconnection and connecting to the nbn.
The nbn access network is being rolled out area by area and as each area switches on, businesses within fixed line areas will have an 18-month 'ready for service' window before existing services are disconnected.
It's important for small businesses to get prepared early on and switch affected services before their disconnection date, even if they only use a landline.
