Nominations for our region's NSW Local Citizen of the Year Awards are open until Sunday 11 January 2026. The Snowy Monaro community is invited to nominate local legends from anywhere across the region who have made a substantial contribution to our region and its people.

Part of the annual Australia Day events organised by community-run committees in the three regional centres, these awards are an important way to celebrate local excellence, and recognise the contributions of volunteers and sportspeople.

Nomination forms are available online now at https://qrco.de/SMRCawards or in-person from all Council offices. Completed forms can be submitted by email, post, or over-the-counter at your local Council office.
