Snowy Mountains B-double Crash Claims Motorcyclist's Life

A motorcyclist has died after a crash involving a B-double in the Snowy Mountains this morning.

Emergency services were called to the Snowy Mountains Highway near Kiandra, about 90km north of Cooma, about 11.15am (Saturday 30 March 2024), and found the male rider had died at the scene.

Officers attached to Monaro Police District have taken the male driver of the truck to Cooma Hospital for mandatory testing.

The Snowy Mountains Highway is closed in both directions and will be for some hours while the scene is examined, and the wreckage cleared.

The rider is yet to be formally identified.
