Somerton theft

Detectives from Hume Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance following a theft which occurred in Somerton earlier this month.

Officers have been told two men attended a factory on Stubb Street in a light coloured ute about 4.30am on 1 March.

They cut a hole in a wire fence and made their way to a carpark where they broke into a parked truck.

The pair then removed electrical testing equipment valued at $370,000 and loaded it into the ute before driving off.

The ute is believed to have decals on both front doors and was carrying a drum in the rear tray.
