South Coast Pool Incident: Man Dead After Rescue

A man has died, after being pulled from a swimming pool on the State's South Coast.

About 8pm yesterday (Monday 4 December 2023), emergency services were called to a holiday resort on George Bass Drive, Tomakin, about 15km South of Batemans Bay, after reports a man was found unresponsive in a pool.

NSW Ambulance paramedics responded and attempted to resuscitate the man, but he died at the scene.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District attended and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The man, believed to be aged in his 20's, is yet to be formally identified.

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
