A 27-year-old man from the southern suburbs was arrested for possession of child exploitation material this week, according to SA Police.
Detectives from Special Crimes Investigation Branch arrested and charged the man on Thursday evening, 4 August. He was bailed to appear in the Christies Beach Magistrate Court on 28 September.

Use of the phrase ‘child pornography’ actually benefits child sex abusers:
* It indicates legitimacy and compliance on the part of the victim and therefore legality on the part of the abuser
* It conjures up images of children posing in ‘provocative’ positions, rather than suffering horrific abuse
