Southern Suburbs Man Nabbed for Online Child Exploitation

A southern suburbs man was arrested yesterday for online child sex offences.

On Wednesday 28 January 2026, investigators from SA JACET, a joint task force between SAPOL Public Protection Branch and the Australian Federal Police (AFP), arrested a man from the southern suburbs of Adelaide after a joint operation was conducted with Queensland Police Operation Argos targeting online child exploitation material.

The investigation identified that the man had allegedly shared 15 child exploitation videos online, resulting in the execution of search warrants at residential addresses in South Australia and Queensland where electronic devices were seized. The 66-year-old man was arrested and charged with one count of disseminate child exploitation material.

He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday 25 March.

"This arrest reflects the fact that state borders do not restrict investigations relating to online child sexual abuse or the sharing of child exploitation material. State and Federal law enforcement work in cooperation with absolute commitment to protecting children; these perpetrators cause real harm to victims and the wider community.
