What began as a spur-of-the-moment ticket purchase has turned into a $100,000 Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot win for one thrilled Mullumbimby local.
The Byron Shire local held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 11039, drawn Monday, 15 September 2025, and pocketed a total prize of $100,000.
"I'm a little shocked right now," the winning woman laughed when speaking to us.
"I saw an email urging me to check my Lucky Lotteries ticket, and when I did, it said I'd won $100,000.
"I thought, 'No way, this has to be a scam! There's no way in the world I won $100,000!'.
"But oh my god, now you've confirmed it, it's starting to sink in that it's real.
"Oh my god! This is life changing!
"Thank you so much! What a good day it turned out to be!
"This was a random purchase. I don't usually buy Lucky Lotteries tickets, but I had won $19 on another game and after buying another ticket with those winnings, I had a few dollars left.
"So I thought I might try buying a raffle ticket. Just goes to show you only need one ticket to win."
Although she initially questioned whether the win was real, the Northern Rivers region woman wasted no time dreaming up ways to enjoy her $100,000 prize.
"I am going to use my prize to buy a new car and go on a holiday," she explained.
"I'll spoil my family as well and then invest anything left."
The Northern Rivers region woman's winning entry of just one random number was purchased on The Lott website - the official home of Australia's lotteries.
