Police have arrested a motorcycle rider travelling at high speeds in Laverton North this morning, Victoria Police say.
Wyndham North police observed the 2003 Suzuki motorcycle at the intersection of Fitzgerald Road and Leakes Road about 1am.
The rider failed to pull over on Fitzgerald Road and was detected traveling at 196kmp/h in a 70km zone.
The motorcycle was followed to a Wyndham Vale address where a 22-year-old man was arrested.
A Wyndham Vale man is currently in custody and is expected to be charged and remanded with evade police, speed dangerous, and other traffic related offences.
