Cardinia Highway Patrol members nabbed a motorcycle rider in Springvale overnight as part of Operation Sumatra 2018, Victoria Police say.
The motorcycle was part of a group of ten or more other motorcycles travelling along Springvale Road about 12.20am.
The Ringwood rider was detected travelling at 181 km/h in the 80km/h zone prior to being intercepted by police.
The motorbike was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $878.50.
The 18-year-old Learner rider will be summonsed to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates Court.
The Ringwood man is expected to be charged with driving in a manner dangerous, driving at a speed dangerous, exceeding the speed limit by more than 45 km/h and careless driving.
