Police have impounded a man’s car after he was caught speeding in Barfold this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
Macedon Ranges Highway Patrol officers were patrolling on Heathcote-Kyneton Road about 3.45pm when they detected a car travelling at 201km/h in a 100km/h zone.
The members activated their lights and the driver, a 34-year-old man from Craigieburn, immediately pulled over.
His car was impounded for a month at a cost of $1200 for release.
The man also underwent a roadside drug test which returned a positive result.
He is expected to be charged on summons with drug driving-related offences, dangerous driving and manner/speed dangerous.
