Spring planning - Mosman

Residents and businesses are being encouraged to prepare for the unexpected this Spring.

The call to action comes ahead of Emergency Preparedness Week on 23 September and October's Small Business Month, when businesses are being encouraged to become 'disruption ready'.

Individuals can find handy information about how to get involved and prepare personal emergency action plans by downloading a free new Get Prepared app at redcross.org.au/getprepared.

Businesses are also being encouraged to have a plan in place so that they can 'survive and thrive' from disruptions caused by natural disasters through to new technologies.

Increasing frequency and severity of natural disasters can create flow-on effects for businesses, such as power outages and transport and communications disruptions which may impact on local businesses. A free tool kit can be downloaded from emergency.nsw.gov.au/getready/business.
