St Kilda East burglary and deceptions

Glen Eira Bayside Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a burglary and subsequent deceptions which occurred in December, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told a burglary occurred at a residential address in Orrong Road, St Kilda East some time between 6.30am and 11am on Friday 16 December.

Once inside the premises the offender has stolen a number of items including passports, luggage, a bike and credit cards.

Later the same day the stolen credit cards were used to purchase clothing, toys, cosmetics and alcohol from various outlets in Glen Huntly Road, Elsternwick.

Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their enquires.
