Stabbing incident at Evanston South, SA

Police are investigating an assault at Evanston South this morning where a 15-year-old girl was stabbed, according to SA Police.

Just after 9am on Thursday 7 September, police were called to an Evanston South college after a student allegedly stabbed another student.

The victim sustained minor injuries to her stomach and arm and was taken to the Lyell McEwin hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not considered to be life threatening.

Police believe that the incident was not random and was a targeted attack.

Police have arrested a 16-year-old girl from Blakeview in connection with the incident and is expected to be charged later today.
