Stalking and Wilful and Obscene exposure in Cranbourne West

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man stalked and exposed himself to a woman in Cranbourne last month, Victoria Police say.

Police have been told a 50-year-old woman attended the local shopping centre in High Street and was grocery shopping in the supermarket when she noticed a man following her on Wednesday 19 April about 12.30pm.

It is believed she was in the supermarket for about 45 minutes and then went outside to her car. Whilst placing her groceries in the boot the same man approached her and engaged her in a conversation, commenting on her appearance.

The female noticed the man was masturbating.

He walked towards her, rubbed his shoulder against her shoulder and walked off towards Sladen Street.

He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, about 185cm tall, with light brown hair, slim build, blue eyes and thin lips.

He was wearing a short-sleeve high visibility yellow work shirt, long beige work pants and dark work boots.

Police have released a facial composite of a man who they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
