Stalking And Wilful Damage Charges, Elbow Valley

Detectives from Warwick Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have charged a 58- year-old man following an investigation into an incident at Elbow Valley in the Southern Downs on 16 February.

Around 8am officers were called to a Cullendore Road property following reports of shots fired.

A search was commenced with officers locating a 58-year-old Elbow Valley man just across the border around 10.50am, where he was taken into police custody in New South Wales.

He appeared in the Armidale Magistrates Court yesterday, 17 February where an extradition order was approved, and he was subsequently extradited back to Queensland.

He has been charged with two counts each of stalking, intimidation, harassing or abuse and one count each of wilful damage and perverting the course of justice.

The man is expected to appear before Warwick Magistrates Court today, 18 February.
