Parliament has demanded the details of Labor's $2.7 billion tax plan after calling on Labor to release its alternative Budget.
In the last session of Parliament, Labor voted to legislate rates of own source revenues (taxes) well above existing rates and targets.
Last night, the Parliament again called on Labor to release their alternative Budget after failing to comply with the will of the House last year.
Analysis based on the current budget and forwards shows if Labor's plan was to go ahead, Tasmanian taxpayers would be set to pay over $2.7 billion in additional taxes by the end of 2027-28.
On 5 June this year, will Labor tell Tasmanians who they're going to slug?
