Today we celebrate the 54th anniversary of the National Flag of Canada. Our flag is a symbol that unites us all and reflects our common values of equality, diversity and inclusion.
Our beautiful flag is a representation of who we are as Canadians: a diverse family, united in shared democratic values.
For the many Canadians who travel abroad, seeing the Canadian flag on the suitcase of a fellow traveller or displayed at an international event instantly evokes a feeling of warmth and belonging.
I invite you to celebrate National Flag of Canada of Day by taking the photo challenge and posting your best pictures on social media with the hashtag #CanadianFlag. You can also visit our website for more fun ideas on how to celebrate. No matter how you choose to mark this day, do it with pride!
