President Donald J. Trump will welcome Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands to the White House on July 18, 2019. President Trump looks forward to reaffirming the historic ties and shared interests that link the United States and the Netherlands. The President and Prime Minister will discuss ways to further strengthen economic and security cooperation. President Trump and Prime Minister Rutte will also participate in a special presentation ceremony of an American flag that was flown from the stern of a United States Navy vessel during the D-Day invasion. This historic flag will be presented by its Dutch owners to the President for future display in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.
