Statement on Chief Executive of Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Don Rankin announced today that long-serving Chief Executive, Mark Stone AM, will step down at the end of this year after over eight years in the role.

Having agreed this direction together late last year, the Board is pleased Mr Stone will continue in the role until the end of 2019 to complete several strategic initiatives and ensure a smooth transition.
In his eight years in the role, Mr Stone has led the Chamber to become Victoria's most respected public policy organisation representing the interests of Victorian business.
Working with the Board, Mr Stone has grown the organisation's strength and reach and he leaves the Chamber in great shape.
Mr Stone's deep and trusted relationships with senior officials, business and political leaders have been fundamental to our joint success.
On behalf of the Board and Executive Council, we thank Mr Stone for his commitment to the Victorian Chamber and the many achievements secured for members.
