Statement on National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan's Meeting with Ukrainian Officials

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met today with Head of Presidential Administration Andriy Yermak and Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba of Ukraine. They discussed the upcoming visit of President Zelenskyy to Washington on August 30, which will highlight the breadth and depth of the U.S.-Ukraine strategic partnership. They reviewed our robust agenda for cooperation on Kyiv's defense challenges, energy security needs, and governance and anti-corruption reforms, as well as our common approach to human rights and democracy in the region. Mr. Sullivan underscored the United States' unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
