Police have arrested a man after an allegedly stolen vehicle was followed through multiple suburbs before it crashed into a shopping centre in Malvern East this morning.
Officers spotted the stolen Hyundai on Blackburn Road in Glen Waverley about 9am.
Air Wing followed the vehicle through Mount Waverly and Oakleigh East before it fled towards Chadstone Shopping Centre.
The Hyundai was tracked to an underground carpark at the shopping centre a short time later.
It is understood the male driver jumped from the moving vehicle in a carpark, before it crashed into the wall of a shopping centre.
There were no injuries.
Officers chased the man on foot through the shopping centre where he was arrested.
The 26-year-old Rawson man was taken into custody where he will be interviewed by detectives.
The Hyundai was stolen from Doncaster on the 31 July.
