Stolen car - police arrest another youth, SA

A sixth youth has been arrested in connection with a stolen white Audi which at Para Hills West last week, according to SA Police.

Just after 12.30am, Monday 9 January, an off duty police officer spotted a stolen car travelling on Glen Osmond Road, Glen Osmond.

The police member lost sight of the stolen white Audi which was last seen travelling north on Portrush Road. A short time later the car was seen by the police helicopter travelling west on Cross Road and was followed from the air across a number of suburbs until it stopped in Jose Court at Para Hills West.

Five people were seen running from the car and into a house and all were arrested without incident.

Following investigations by police, they attended a property today at Port Adelaide and arrested a 17-year-old boy and charged him three counts of illegal use, two counts of making off without payment and two counts of theft.

Police will allege the youth stole the Audi sedan from a house in Medindie and an Alfa Romeo from a house in Mitcham on 8 January along with a BMW sedan from a house in Wattle Park between 4-5 January. Police will further allege the youth also stole credit cards from the house at Medindie which were used to purchase fuel at service stations at Brompton and Pooraka.

He has been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on Monday.
