As a result of information provided by members of the public, a stolen Hitachi Excavator was recovered by police on Oonah Road, Oonah (in the states north-west) area on Thursday, 15 September 2016, Tasmania Police say.
A stolen white 1997 Hino Tipper Truck is yet to be located.
The truck is believed to have front-end damage to its cab and missing its rear and side tray panels.
The truck has no signage and has a distinctively large white bull bar.
The registration plates E28HD may still be attached.
