Stolen golf-buggy's coastal cruise, South Australia

A man has been arrested after allegedly stealing a golf-buggy and taking it on a joy-ride from Kingston Park to Glenelg this morning.

Just before 8.40am Sunday 1 March police were called to a Caravan Park in Kingston Park after a man was seen getting on to a golf-buggy and leaving the property.

Police received several calls from members of the public who reported seeing the buggy travelling up the Esplanade before sightings on Anzac Highway and Jetty Road.

Police saw the vehicle before it was dumped on Elizabeth Street at Glenelg and the driver, a 25-year-old man, was placed under arrest.

He is expected to be charged with illegal use, driving unregistered, uninsured, driving disqualified and driving without due care.
