A woman has been arrested after stolen property was found in her car during a traffic stop at Birdwood last night, according to SA Police.
Just before 10pm on Wednesday 10 August police stopped a car on Shannon Street with checks showing that the woman driving had a suspended driver’s licence.
Police searched the car and located clothing that was allegedly stolen from a sports store at Murray Bridge a few hours earlier that day as well as stationary items from a newsagent.
A 47-year-old woman from Valley View was charged with theft, unlawful possession and traffic offences. She was bailed to appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court on 21 September.
