A man has been charged following the alleged theft of two vehicles and the attempted theft of several others across Brisbane today, 13 May.
At approximately 8am, it is alleged a man threatened a woman with a knife at a Chelmer home and stole a blue BMW coupe.
The woman was not physically injured during the incident.
The vehicle was sighted at 1:45pm on Kittyhawk Drive in Chermside when it will be further alleged the driver exited the vehicle and stole a white Audi A1.
The driver of the Audi, a 67-year-old man, was injured during the incident and has been transported to hospital in a stable condition.
The Audi was tracked by Polair travelling at speed through Chermside and Stafford.
During that time, it will be alleged the man attempted to steal at least five other vehicles at knife point.
At approximately 1:52pm, police arrested the 35-year-old Spring Hill man when he was allegedly attempting to steal another vehicle near the intersection of South Pine Road and Farrington Street in Alderley.
The man has been charged with numerous offences including multiple counts each of armed robbery, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and unlawful entry of a motor vehicle. He has also been charged with one count of contravention of domestic violence order.
He is due to appear at Brisbane Magistrates Court on 14 May.
