ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC:
Heavy rainfall continuing to spread southwards through eastern Carpentaria and far north Barkly today. Tropical low 07U is currently located about the central Carpentaria coast and is expected to move southward over land today. Strong convective activity is located on the southern and eastern sides of the low, bringing a risk of heavy rainfall to areas through eastern Carpentaria and northern Barkly during today.
HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is forecast for parts of the eastern Carpentaria and northern Barkly today. Isolated six-hourly rainfall totals between 140 to 170 mm are possible. Conditions are expected to ease this evening.
Locations which may be affected include Borroloola, Wollogorang, Mallapunyah and McArthur River.
